Office Hours Please note that due to an intense teaching and research schedule, I am rarely at my office outside of office hours. On Wednesday afternoons (before and during office hours) I may not always be in my office, but will be nearby, and will be very happy to meet with you. If you don't find me at Ross S401, please check the Geography departmental office (Ross N401) and photocopier room. I am available for appointments at other times, but prefer to meet before class on Wednesdays.
If you have concerns (personal or course-related) or special needs of any kind, please bring them to my attention as soon as possible so that they may be accommodated. E-mail Contact Policy E-mail contact policy: Students, please include 'GEOG 4280' in the subject line of any e-mails you send to me. While I am always very happy to respond to e-mail queries and comment on your work, please do not expect an instant reply. I will try to respond to urgent e-mail messages as quickly as possible (urgent meaning matters of life and well-being, and as quickly as possible meaning within a day), but for research-related requests and general course help, however, please expect a response within one week. Why such a policy? (1) You will find a thoughtful, detailed response more helpful than a rushed, incoherent reply; (2) as much as I enjoy teaching Imagining Toronto, I cannot be available 24 hours a day; and (3) establishing parameters for e-mail contact means I can look forward to reading fewer but better crafted e-mails from you and you can look forward to the same from me.
